Musings on SlashMen as Deific Mirrors

In line with my thoughts on the deification of slash heroes, I have been considering the various collections of slash characters as mirrors of our understanding of the world. The following lists must be understood to be drawn from slash fiction, and may or may not have any resemblance to the respective characters' roles in the originating media.
The Magnificent Seven are a collection of primarily European avatars.
1. Chris Larabee is, of course, the Wounded King (The Fisher King, or Bran).
2. His eldest friend, Buck Wilmington, is The Lover (Cupid in his older, less childish form; also Frey: note that Frey's other form is that of a flying boar).
3. His best friend, Vin Tanner, is the Hunter And The Hunted (Herne, Cernunnos, et al.).
4. Nathan Jackson is The Warrior Healer, of course, and also The Unchained (Apollo, Prometheus, I can't remember the others off the bat).
5. Josiah Sanchez is The Wayward Father (Zeus, Odin)
6. Ezra Standish is The Trickster / The Gambler (Hermes, Coyote, Loki, etc.)
and last but not least,
7. JD Dunne is The Fool or The Novice - the one whose lack of experience allows him to upset the moribund social order.
The characters of The Sentinel also form a group of avatars, this time more Greek:
1. James Ellison is The Spartan Warrior.
2. Blair Sandburg is the Philosophical Hedonist.
3. Simon Banks is the Enlightened Despot.
4. William Ellison is, of course, Croesus.
5. Naomi Sandburg is, equally obivously, Aphrodite.
The Stargate 1 characters may be thought of more as embodiments of virtues than avatars of deity. All four must be understood as versions of "Strength."
1. Jack O'Neil is Military Tactics.
2. Daniel Jackson is Knowledge And Wisdom.
3. Teal'c is Sacrifice And Redemption.
4. Samantha Carter is not nearly so clear to me, due to the nature of slash fiction. I am more than willing to entertain ideas from those more familiar with her. I will tentatively offer a role of Will And Obedience for her.
The due South men are almost too easy, except that they fall into any number of dualities:
Control/Creativity
Knowledge/Instinct
Politeness/Passion
Implacability/Forgiveness (in which, actually, they swap off.)
Mind/Body
And it goes on. As I watch various writers, it becomes obvious that they grow to use specific fandoms as vehicles for specific kinds of stories: shalott/
astolat is a prime example of this. This is most comprehensible when I take into account the story-cycles that the fandom's avatars suggest.
More on specific men later.
